How far in advance should I book my wedding?

9-12 months is the best time to secure your wedding date and rooms for your guests.

What are the best reasons to have a destination wedding?

Destination weddings are more relaxed, fun and less expensive. They can be intimate (just the two of you), they can be grand with 200 of your friends and family or somewhere in between. You are getting married in a dream location with friends and family there to help you celebrate. Typically, destination weddings average one third of the cost of a traditional wedding.

What is the best time for a destination wedding?

This depends on budget and location. The climate you want and traveling during peak or low season will play factors in determining your wedding date.

What are the best destinations to have a destination wedding?

Typically, a destination with all-inclusive resorts offer the most benefits for you and your guests. This way, your guest pays one price to attend your wedding and enjoy a vacation. The wedding couple can also get great benefits for bringing guests to their resort, helping reduce your wedding cost.

What are the typical costs for a wedding guest?

Average cost is 1000.00 per person. This includes flights, all-inclusive resorts and transportation for 3 nights/4days. The best way to help your guests afford your destination wedding is to plan ahead and secure rooms. We allow your guests to book with a low deposit and a payment plan. Destinations Diva makes sure all your guests book with ease, and handling all their details so you don’t have to.

What if all my guests can’t attend?

Don’t be upset if all your guests can’t attend your wedding due to budget or time. Typically, 35-40 percent of invited guests attend destination weddings. Many couples have receptions or wedding showers at home to celebrate your marriage.

How do I travel with my wedding dress?

Making sure your wedding dress arrives safely to your destination is important! We suggest bustling your dress in a garment bag and carrying it on with you. If there is room, most flight attendants will hang it in the first class closet for you. However, these closets are small and fill up quickly. If the closet isn’t available, you can put it in the overhead compartment and have the resort steam it out for you when you arrive. Do not ever check your dress with luggage or ship it in advance. You don’t want risk losing the most important dress of your life!
